Fused Silica is made of high purity Quartz Sand by electrically fused (fusing temperature up to 1800-2000â„?) in Electric Arc Furnaces , then the Crystalline Quartz Sand transformed into Amorphous Silicon Dioxide (tran***rent , inserted few fogs ) .
Fused Silica has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion and a very low thermal conductivity , high resistance to thermal shock as well as excellent chemical stability .
